The 189th Hash was on Sunday July 15th at Arlington
 These were The Hares .
A 6am thunderstorm woke most of Hastings and a couple of hashers. The foreboding of a wet hash was ill founded as the sunshine came out and Playaway was on time to add to the unexpected.
The rain washed out all the chalk and a bit of the sawdust but the smell of beer alone kept most of the pack on trail. There were minor distractions like the sign that said "ROMP" instead of "RAMP". This causing a couple of male hashers to get over friendly, but the females were unmoved.
A couple of times Dancing Queen was ahead of the runners. The remaining walkers were more than handicapped by Bushsquatter who was navigating. Incredible as it may seem, a washed out trail was easier to follow than one of the Hares.
The walkers and runners arrived at the BS, and finishing car park at the same time thus continuing the theme of miracles.
There was a "Pot Luck" back at BS’s place where there was a great array of food. Before the scoffing began the miscreants were called to account.
The principle culprits were CB for his effete slippers and front running; BS for being lost on her own run and the over friendly males that shall remain nameless, lest some gay hash group should hear of them and come recruiting!
