The Cumbria Way

The Cumbria Way is 70 miles in length and extends from Ulverston in the southern part of the Lake District to Carlisle in the north.

It is a very scenic walk and although it can be walked in 4-5 days, it is best done over about 8 days, with 2 night stays at Coniston, Dudgeon Ghyll and Keswick.
Then, one can climb Old Man Coniston and the Langdale Pikes and maybe, like us, have a rest day at Keswick.

We had good weather except for a couple of hours. Early June seems to be a good time to walk in the Lake District as we did the Coast to Coast at a similar time a few years ago and struck lucky again.
